Hi Guys,
My name is Sav and I recently did the 2 day inspecting and testing course with Jim ( top teacher, learnt a lot from him). Just a quick question. Completed an outside storage area / home office brick built building for someone. I run a 16mm swa from inside the house, toa new consumer unit in the building. From the main house, I have put 25mm tails from a henly block into a 60amp isolator, then connected the 16mm swa from there to the new building. The swa runs outside a brick wall (2" off the ground, due to nature of building and access), then buried in the ground until the new building (approx 45 meters ). I also ran an additional 16mm earth as well. Now, do I take the ZE from the new building, or do I disconnect the supply from the house end and take it from there. Could someone explain in laymans terms what needs to be done and how ( Jim are you there mate ??), Thanks guys and speak soon, Sav |
