Tiles Set In Wooden Window Ledge?

I'm not sure if I've seen it done, but do you think it would be feasible to redo a wooden window ledge with some ceramic tiles counter-sunk into the surface?

I think if it was done properly it would look good, plus the tiles would be a good surface for plants that may have the occasional overflow of water.

I guess this is not an easy job to do alone. You have to hire a professional to do this work. Plan the type of tiles you want before redoing the ledge.
