How To Get Your Husband To Paint...

Here is an idea about how to get your lazy husband to paint any area of your house.

I am a husband, not a lazy one mind you, but the technique would work for me.

My sister in law tried this on my brother. It worked like a charm! :D

Pick a room you want painted.
Pick one wall.
Paint something weird, or something nice, or something silly on it, in the color you want used.
Your husband will come home.
He will have to paint the rest of the room.
Have paint and roll/brush ready :)

My sister in law wrote "Boo Boo"

You can try "I Love You"

then you can say, "honey, we have a special project for you tonight"

lol.....thats too funny and I am glad it worked for some. It wouldn't work here though but would stay that way. My husband and I would wait each other out to see who caved first and inevitably, it would be.....me:D

I really don't think this approach would work on my other half. He is not at all lazy, but he just hates painting and the associated paint smells.

Well, vandalism has its brighter side. If you do that in Singapore, you'll end up with not a few lashes on your back.

All I would have to say is that I plan on painting it myself and my husband would have it done. He says I am a thick painter~ and this drives him nuts as he is a perfectionist.

If someone really has a lazy husband, they might be surprised if that stays on the wall for a while.

I love it! How great is that! Although I'm not sure it would work at my house either. Get this I started to tear down wallpaper in the kitchen- thinking my sig other would be sick of the mess and the half torn down walls- nope- he just says to me-- you going to finish this anytime soon? lol..

Thats a very nice tip. However the husband will be frustrated by seeing his wife doing such things.

So what would end up happening is I would paint on the wall, then I wouldn't be able to stop and would just do the whole thing myself.. then about a week later my husband would look up and say "Say, didn't this room used to be blue?"
