Fun paint idea

When my kids were much smaller, I decided to do something different with one of the walls in their bedroom. I took some painters tape and taped the entire wall, overlapping the tape. I then painted all the shapes in different colors (2 coats), waited for it to dry, and then pulled off the tape. It really looked awesome and the kids loved it.:)

That sounds like a lot of fun! I bet it's really cute... My daughter and me redid her room this past summer. It's a beach scene-- we still need to finish the sand part.

I once helped my cousin paint her room. We used natural sponges and dipped in monochromatic paints and voila! Very nice walls. :)

That sounds like a good thing to do. However I wanted to do something different on my wall and ended up in ruining it. We have to be careful while doing those things and they must be clearly planned.

That does sound like a neat idea. YOu could even let the kids help out on a project like this one.

I have done that before. I was trying to paint a mural on one of the walls and instead of planning it out well, I jumped right in and had to repaint the wall and start over. Its definitely best to plan it out first.

When I was helping my aunt redo my cousin's room to a more teen-type look, we first painted (and then stained to tone it down) the walls red. Then she painted what looked like a picture frame border on the wall and we did zebra stripes in there.

I may not be explaining this quite right, but I was so bummed I was too old for something like that because the finished product was amazing.
