Have you ever had an old coffee table and decided to fix it up? I just did this this past summer and couldn't believe how easy it was. First I got something to take off the stain and varnish. It took alot of time to get it all off. Then I sanded the table down. Then I put on the new stain and coated with polyurethain, lots of layers. Now both of my coffee tables look like new!
Anyone else have experience at this?

I have never done this, no. i would love to give it a go. My low table is looking terrible, and I would like to change the stain colour of it really because it doesn't quite match the other wood furniture in the living room.

We did this last summer with a curio type cabinet and our kitchen table. We just sanded everything down and then stained and sealed them in a mahogany color and they turned out amazing. We now are not worried about buying used dressers and such because we know we can fix them up in a style that we like.

I had done this before. It is very simple than it look. It doesn't take complex professional skills to do the job, it depends upon your creativity and hours spent.

I know, I am always looking at sales for used tables and dressers too. It is so easy to do and once finished it is great to see the end result.
