We have a yard that is approximately 30 feet on each side. No fence right now.

How difficult would it be to build a fence and install it?
Where would I find directions for such a project?

Thanks

Difficulty depends on the type of fence you want.

I take a stroll through Instructables every once in a while and there is a section on fence building (http://www.instructables.com/tag/?sort=none&q=fence+building&limit%3Atype%3Aid=on).

I don't know if you have zoning issues to consider, but check those out before you make a final decision. There's nothing worse than getting a project completed and then being served a "cease" order, meaning you either must tear down your work or go before your city council for a ruling!

My advice would be to visit any decent builders merchants where you can purchase fence panels/posts which will prove to be much cheaper and easier.

Why not go somewhere like Home Depot and see if they will be offering a class on how to build a fence? They hold classes all the time teaching different home improvement techniques.

I don't know, but if you are anything like me, going to Home Depot for a workshop could be dangerous for the budget.

It is too difficult to leave Home Depot without buying a nifty power tool, or paint, or.....

We have build a fence around our property the other month and it really is not all that difficult.

It is not easy to construct a fence. Further it requires a lot of planning before going for a specific one. If you want a good efficient one you need to hire a professional builder.

It should not prove difficult provided you have the right experience for the job. Granted, there may be nuances depending on the project but nothing that cannot be overcome.

Is it expensive to build a fence in your home country? I used wood for my fence and it ended up being rather expensive.
