Hi all,
Just coming to the end of my 8 week tiling course and have to say that i have loved it and would have no hesitation of recommending them for not only tiling courses but also all the other trade courses that they operate.
Up until 8 weeks ago, i had never handled a tile or tile adhesive in my life but feel very confident to now enter the industry.
I found Able Skills website to be very professional which first of all interested me in them and so contacted them. They informed me that i could visit the centre in dartford at any time to inspect the facilities and meet the staff.
That sunday i visited them, met the instuctors and was introduced to the possible routes that were suited to myself. Options included one weeks training right the way through to eight weeks training (some of which can be undertaken at weekends, which i elected to do for some of the course).
After spending a lot of time visting other centres i found that Able Skills facilities were the best i had come across.
Areas ranged from fully fitted kitchen and fully fitted bathroom areas to shower cubicles, steps and many more.
I could not believe that after a hour or so of my first day that i was cutting around electrical sockets and then shortly after moving on to more difficult obstacles.
After day one i could not wait to get back for day two and that's how the course continued.
After expressing an interest in NVQ, it was explained to me by my instructor how to achieve it. I was issued with a NVQ folder on my third week, had a one to one chat with one of the instuctors and discussed every unit.
The instructor made it clear to me that any problems i had with my portfolio could be resolved by using Able Skills after care service via the internet so contact is not a problem.
Now that i have the skills my intention is to complete my NVQ folder asap, return with it to Able Skills to have the folder signed off and enable me to acheive my NVQ in full.
Overall Brilliant, thanks guys
