at what point is a wall too uneven to skim directly? I come across a lot of jobs where there are patches that need to be cut out for lack of adhesion and repairs that are slightly proud. Is it enough to give a generous first coat or is a third something I could do? What's the professional way to do it?

Cheers, pete

the answer to your question is if the wall is very un even you should pva it then use carlite bonding then 2 coats of skim, when the bonding is set ,hope that helps pete :D
